February #SuperSnap

We have chosen a striped skunk for this month’s #SuperSnap from Douglas County. Did you know that striped skunk is one of the species of interest found on the Snapshot Wisconsin Data Dashboard? Visit the dashboard to see Snapshot Wisconsin trail camera detections of striped skunk visualized by county as well as time of day and year. Jessica Knackert is a natural resources educator and research technician for Snapshot Wisconsin. She received her bachelor’s degree in Life Sciences Communication and Zoology with a minor in Environmental Studies from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. Jessica has a background in carnivore ecology research in both Madison, Wisconsin and Akagera National Park, Rwanda. She also has experience in science journalism and outreach. In her free time, Jessica enjoys biking, kayaking/paddle boarding, and reading.
